King George Fall Festival

Since 1959, an annual community event held the second weekend of each October. It is planned and run solely by volunteers representing various local organizations and businesses. The event includes a parade down Route 3 through the courthouse area, a fair including rides and petting zoo at King George High School, craft show, food vendors, car show and pageants for all ages. 
If you would like to volunteer on the committee or would like to coordinate a new activity or help where needed, please reach out to us.

RAIN OR SHINE

FREE ACTIVITIES FOR ALL AGES AT THE FAIR

 7:30 am Dahlgren Heritage Railroad Trail – 10K/5K/1 mile fun run 

8am – 10 am Check in for parade at King George Elementary

11AM  KG Fall Festival Parade – Rt. 3 from Courthouse to KGHS

Food Court                  – KGHS Parking Lot 
Craft & Vendor Show  KGHS Gymnasium
Fair & Entertainment  – KGHS

Live Music

10K/5k/1 Mile Fun Run

The 2024 King George Fall Festival Race/Run/Walk will be held for the 4th year on the Dahlgren Railroad Heritage Trail. The 10Km 5K and 1 mile run/walk will feature an unofficial timed race from the Bloomsbury terminus of the trail out and back. Bottled water and snacks will be provided along with fun items for the kids! This will be a fun family event for all ages! More information to come! Registration will open later in the year.
